Hongkong ist mehr als eine Wolkenkratzerkulisse und Shopping-Metropole. Es ist durchaus möglich, Ruhe und Entspannung zu finden und sogar intakte Natur auf Wanderwegen zu erleben. Auch begegnet man dem Gegensatz der unterschiedlichen Lebenswelten: neben der künstlichen Welt der Expats mit sehr gehobenen Ansprüchen an Gastronomie und Konsum, existiert dazu parallel eine ganz andere Welt: die der einheimischen Hongkong-Chinesen mit einer komplett anderen Kultur und Religion.
